Parthenium awareness program.
Conducted the “Parthenium awareness program” weak (16-22 August 2019) in DAO Office Khunti district. Mr Ashok Samrat, District Agriculture Officer, Khunti was the chief guest in this programme. Fifty farmers, twenty ATM and BTM were participant in this programme. Mr Ashok Samrat, DAO Khunti and Dr. J. Ghosh, I/C KVK Head, jointly distributed Soil testing certificate among the farmers during this program, I/C Project Director of ATMA Mr Amresh Kumar was also present.
This programme was also conduct at different villages and Bagdu primary schools in Khunti district.

National Animal Disease Control Program (NADCP)
A detailed program was planned by Hon'ble Prime Minister on 11-09-2019 in Mathura, Uttar Pradesh, on the occasion of the launch of National Animal Disease Control Program (NADCP) for FMD and Brucellosis (National Artificial Insemination Program (NAIP)). This programme (NADCP and NAIP) started in India, so that animal should be free from diseases in India and genetic upgradation of indigenous cows can be done.
National Animal Disease Control Programme for FMD & Brucellosis and National Artificial Insemination programme was organized by the Krishi Vigyan Kendra on 11th September 2019 at village– Tutikel, Panchayat– sode, block- Rania. Dr. Sanjay Kumar, Block Animal Husbandry Officer was chief guest in this program. Mr Akash Kumar, Coordinator, Torpa Rural Development Society for Women (TRDS) and Mr Bindeshwar Singh, Social worker, and 120 farmers were present in this program.

Vrihad Vriksha Ropan Abhiyan and Kisan Gosthi
Vrihad Vriksha Ropan Abhiyan was conducted on dated 18/09/2019 in Koynara– Villege, Panchayat -Banie, Block– Rania, Khunti and in the premises of KVK in which 200 farmers participated in this programme. In this occasion different tree (teak, jamun, guava, gamhar, mahogany) were distributed by Krishi Vigyan Kendra, Khunti. Shri Ashok Smrat, District Agriculture Officer (D.A.O) was the chief guest in this programme. Sri Samrat told that farmers may earn more income from plantation of trees in larger area. Dr. J. Ghosh. Pr. Scientists ICAR-IINRG and I/C KVK, Khunti, described the importance of plantation, explained how the tree plant is helpful to us. He discussed in detail how the plantation affects our public life.

Swatchhta Hee Seva Karyakram
Krishi Vigyan Kendra Khunti organized program on “Sawatchta Hee Seva” Pakhwada programme in different villages of Khunti district. This programme was conducted in villages & primary school on 01/10/2019 in Banietoil, Torpa. Forty five farmers and 30 students were participated in this awareness program. How to keep our home and our surroundings clean, and how the first use plastic is polluting our public life, was discussed in detail.
Mr. Rajan Chaudhari, SMS (Agromate) provide information about effect of plastic use on human life and environment. Mr Ashutosh Prabhat (Agromate Observer) explained the benefit of cleanliness in our life

Fertilizer Application Awareness Program cum Farmer Training
Fertilizer Application Awareness Program was organized by KVK, Khunti (ICAR-IINRG) on 22 Oct 2019 at ICAR–IINRG campus. In this programme 150 farmer from different villages of Khunti district participated. Farmers viewed live inauguration of launching programme on ‘Fertilizer Application Awareness Program’ among farmers by Mr Narendra Singh Tomar, Honble Minister, Ministry of Agriculture and Farmers welfare, Government of India at NAAS complex, ICAR, New Delhi.
Director, ICAR-IINRG was the chief guest and Dr. D.K Shahi, Chief Scientist cum Chairman, S.S. & Agril. Chemistry, Birsa Agriculture University, Ranchi was expert. He delivered lecture on “Awareness program on right use of fertilizer“.Dr K K Sharma expressed views on use and importance of fertiliser in our life. Integrated soil health management should be done, and use of minimum fertilizer as much as possible. Dr. Nirmal Kumar, Pr. Scientist & Head Transfer Technology Division, ICAR-IINRG, Ranchi described the importance and use of fertilizer application. He told that the nutritional value of the food we eat is directly related to the health of the soil.

Kisan Mela/ Others
ICAR-Indian Institute of Natural Resins and Gums (IINRG), Ranchi and Krishi Vigyan Kendra (KVK) Khunti jointly organized two days Kisan Mela-cum-Technology and Machinery Exhibition-2020 in association with National Bank for Agricultural and Rural Development (NABARD) during 13-14th February, 2020 at Mela Gound, ICAR-Indian Institute of Natural Resins and Gums (IINRG), Ranchi.
The Mela was inaugurated by Shri Alamgir Aalam, Hon’ble Minister, Rural Development Panchyati Raj and Parliamentary Work, Government of Jharkhand. Shri Badal Patralekh, Hon’ble Minister, Agriculture, Cooperatives, Animal Husbandry and Fisheries, Government of Jharkhand; Shri Sanjay Seth, Hon’ble Member of Parliament, Ranchi; Shri Rajesh Kachhap, Hon’ble Member of Legislative Assembly were the Guest of Honour on the occasion.
Dr Anjani Kumar, Director, ATARI, Zone IV, Patna emphasized on the district level efforts of Krishi Vigyan Kendra in promoting the commercial farm activities for doubling the farm income. He urged to the farmers to get the benefit of this event.
More than 3000 (2200 farmer from Ranchi, Khunti, Ramgarh, Bokaro, Gumla district + 500 exhibitors+ 300 others) farmers including lac growers, women farmers, entrepreneurs, rural youth and officials from the line departments participated in the mela.
